Set Your Goals

Setting clear goals for your campaign is crucial to its success. Follow these steps to define and configure your goals:

1. Define the Goal of Your Campaign

Decide on what actions you want to reward your referrals for. You have two main options:

  • Conversion Events: This option rewards advocates when their referrals complete specific actions you define, such as signing up or making a purchase.

  • Conversion Events and Social Actions: Choose this if you want to reward advocates for both completing referral goals and engaging in social actions, like sharing on social media.

2. Choose the Number of Referral Conversion Events to Track

Choose how many conversion events you want to track, depending on your campaign’s complexity:

  • One Conversion Event: Ideal for actions like signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase. For example, if you want to track users who sign up or complete a specific action.

  • Two Conversion Events: Suitable for tracking actions like signing up and then making a purchase, or downloading an app and subscribing.

  • Three Conversion Events: Best for a series of actions, such as signing up, completing a demo, and making a purchase.

3. Set Up the Default Referral Link

This is the link your advocates will share. Ensure it directs to:

  • Your website’s homepage

  • A dedicated landing page

  • A ReferralHero widget designed to convert referrals

Note: Adding a default referral link is compulsory. Please ensure you add one; you can always update it later if needed!

After setting up your goals, click on Save & Go to Unique Identifier to proceed to the next step.
