Automation emails are ReferralHero's built-in, behavior-triggered emails that help you communicate with your subscribers and keep them engaged throughout the referral process. ReferralHero currently offers 8 automation emails, the most in the industry, with more coming soon to enhance customer engagement further.

Welcome Emails , Participation Emails & Reward Emails

Welcome Emails

1. Welcome Email Sent to subscribers who haven’t been referred when they are added to the referral campaign, introducing them to the program.

2. Pending Welcome Email If your campaign tracks two or three conversion events, this email is sent to referred subscribers when they’re added to the campaign, but haven’t yet completed the full referral process.

3. Confirmed Welcome Email Also for campaigns tracking multiple conversion events, this email is sent to referred subscribers once they are confirmed as valid participants in the referral program.

4. Follow-up Email A reminder email sent a predetermined amount of time (e.g., 6 hours) after someone signs up, to re-engage the subscriber.

5. Activation Email Triggered for subscribers who haven’t referred anyone, sent after a set period (e.g., 5 days) to encourage them to start referring.

These emails are designed to keep subscribers engaged and move them through the referral process smoothly.

Participations Emails

1. First Referral Email This email is sent when a subscriber refers their first friend, congratulating them for starting to participate in the referral program.

2. Referral Email Sent to the referrer whenever they refer a friend, except for the first time. For the first referral, use the "First Referral Email."

3. Milestone Email This email is triggered when a subscriber reaches a specific milestone, such as referring a certain number of people (e.g., 5 referrals), to celebrate and motivate continued participation.

4. Reminder Email Sent to subscribers who haven’t referred anyone in a set period (e.g., 5 days after their last referral), reminding them to stay engaged in the referral program.

These emails help keep subscribers motivated and engaged throughout the referral process by acknowledging their achievements and providing gentle reminders. Reward emails are automatically generated when you create rewards in ReferralHero. These emails notify subscribers when they have unlocked a reward, helping to keep them engaged and excited about their progress.

You can activate any email by simply clicking on the specific email template and toggling the "Active" switch to turn it on. This ensures that the selected email is automatically sent to subscribers based on the defined triggers in your campaign.

Sending a Test Email

To send a test email in ReferralHero, follow these steps:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the email editing page.

2. Enter the email address where you want to receive the test email.

3. Click on Send Test Email.

Make sure to save your email before sending a test, as ReferralHero will send the latest saved version of your email.
