Define a Unique Identifier

Last updated 8 months ago

In this step, you'll establish a unique identifier for your subscribers. This identifier is crucial for tracking and managing subscribers in your campaign. Here are a few important things to know:

  • The Unique Identifier: This will be the ID we use to reference and add subscribers to your campaign. It's a crucial component for tracking and managing your campaign participants.

  • Required Field: The unique identifier is a mandatory field in our Widget. Every subscriber must have one to participate in your campaign.

  • Immutable: Once a subscriber is added to your campaign, their unique identifier cannot be changed. Make sure to choose this carefully during setup.

Note: The unique identifier is a critical component of your campaign setup. It cannot be altered once a subscriber is added to your campaign, so choose carefully.

1. Choose Your Unique Identifier

Select the unique identifier that suits your campaign:

  • Phone Number: Use a subscriber's phone number as the unique identifier.

  • Email: Utilize the subscriber's email address.

  • Web3 Wallet Address: Use a Web3 Wallet Address for identification, ideal for crypto-related campaigns.

  • Other: Specify a different identifier if needed (e.g., customer ID, social media handle, etc.).

2. Enable Verification Method

To enhance security, enable verification for the unique identifier. This step requires the subscriber to confirm their email address, phone number, Web3 Wallet ID, or other identifier.

  • Enable a Primary Verification Method: Ensures the subscriber verifies their unique identifier.

  • Require a Secondary Verification Method: Adds an extra layer of security by requiring verification of both primary and secondary identifiers.

  • Enable reCAPTCHA: Consider enabling reCAPTCHA, a free service provided by Google that helps prevent bots from signing up through your ReferralHero widgets. This ensures that only genuine users are added to your campaign.
